The T9489 is a direct bolt-on for Toyota GR Yaris and Corolla, and also suits other turbocharged Toyota/Lexus engines with an electronic OEM diverter valve.

Why Choose a VTA Over a “BOV Spacer”?

While BOV spacers offer a cheap way to add blow-off sound, they do not address performance or reliability issues. They simply redirect air from the factory diverter valve without improving how it functions.

The VTA replaces the OEM diverter valve entirely, delivering real performance gains and reliable operation – not just sound.

Reliable Boost Holding

Although recent OEM diverter valves have improved slightly, the plastic valve mechanism still cannot reliably seal high boost pressure.

The VTA uses CNC-machined aluminium and brass components with a Viton face seal, ensuring reliable boost holding even up to 50psi.

Factory electronic diverter valves operate in binary – fully open or shut – which doesn't match your throttle input. This causes non-linear power delivery and poor throttle response.
